“ Hi and thank you for taking the time to visit my website. I'm Mark Gilligan, an award winning landscape photographer and a professional landscape photography teacher. An official ambassador for Lee Filters as a Master Of Photography, I am also delighted to be supported in my work by the outdoor brands of Berghaus, Benro, Shimoda Bags, Pacer Poles and BenQ.
I have resided and worked in both the Lake District and Eryri (Snowdonia) during the past 45 years, so I know the landscapes intimately. Whilst my home is now in Cheshire, it puts me in a perfect position to visit and work in them both most weeks.
I have been teaching and running landscape photography workshops and courses in the Lake District and Eryri (Snowdonia) for over 40 years now. I began in days when I had hair!
They are all bespoke and fully endorsed by LEE FILTERS.
The majority I deliver are '1-2-1‘ and with that you know I am exclusively working with you throughout your time with me. I am lucky in having an assistant, Vicki Procter who is an excellent photographer in her own right and she will usually join us.
Prior to our actual meeting, we will discuss and assess on line, what is best for your needs. On the days of your workshop or course, we will visit locations that are tailored to suit you whether that be in the Lake District or Eryri (Snowdonia).
We spend the minimum time getting to locations and we don’t take you to a location for a set duration and leave you on your own whilst we take our own images. Vicki and I run workshops where the instruction, your instruction, is the key factor for you being on the workshop. You will also notice that my camera rarely, if ever comes out of its bag. That is because it is YOUR time and your camera that you will be taught upon.”
