Whilst circumstances have dictated that I haven't been out on the hills lately due to the house move etc, I have been busy in other ways.
Preparations for the Eskdale Art Show which took place at ST BEGAS, ESKDALE took up a considerable amount of time and it was nice to be able to raise funds for a great cause. Selecting images and having them framed is always a gamble. No matter what I think of a particular image it may not be the one that everyone else likes.
Thats what is so good about choices.
I was lucky enough to sell several of my pieces and I am always grateful to people who enjoy my work sufficiently enough to want to buy it. This month has been good both online and at outlets. Any pro will tell you it goes in fits and starts and it does!
I was delighted to receive some lovely feedback on my article about the Duddon Valley that appeared in The Great Outdoors magazine. I spent a full 12 months photographing it throughout the seasons and it remains one of my favourite places in the lakes.
If you get the chance make sure you visit.
As many of you know I am also using a FUJI X PRO1 camera as well as my full frame Canon 5dmk3 and I have been asked by the magazine FUJI X PASSION to supply work for themselves. I love the mirror less kit and find it so versatile. I was delighted to be asked and I will post the links up for that very soon.
I also attended the christening of our gorgeous new grandson Joseph or 'Sephi' as he has now become known and we look forward to a lifetime of fun with him and his delectable sister Esme.
We love them all to bits! This is him with my eldest son david and our Daughter in law Emma.
Anyhow, it is simply glorious outside and I do wish I could enjoy that but its not to be. Might not make the fells but the deck is calling me a with my name on a glass or two......
Thanks for all your lovely comments and good wishes. Much appreciated!
Enjoy this weather whilst it lasts.
